Texas Lottery Alert: $100,000 Powerball Winner Unclaimed

Yesterday was Mother’s Day across Texas. And from Houston to Beaumont, from San Angelo to Lubbock, and from Palestine to Muleshoe, the good people of the great state of Texas celebrated the “hand that rocks the cradle.”

Now, I’m sure all the Texas moms were treated like royalty on Sunday. But for at least two Texans who played the Powerball game Saturday night, that celebration could have been bigger, even by Texas standards.

That’s because our sources in Austin at the Texas Lottery Offices have confirmed that Saturday’s Powerball game produced not one, but two high-dollar winners in the Lone Star State. The winning tickets are valued at $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.

This is what we know. First, let’s look at the Powerball drawing numbers for Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Saturday’s jackpot in the Powerball game was $37.2 million. There were no tickets sold throughout the game area that matched the numbers needed to claim that prize. Speaking of numbers, here’s how the ping pong balls bounced on Saturday. The numbers were:

You’ll want to check those numbers before attempting to claim any prizes. You can check them on the official Texas Lottery website or the official Powerball website. Both sites allow you to enter your ticket numbers to confirm any prizes you may be entitled to.

As we mentioned, there were no jackpot winners on Saturday. There were also no tickets sold matching enough numbers to claim a Match 5 Million prize. So the $100,000 win in Texas was one of the largest prizes awarded in Saturday’s game.

But as we mentioned, there was also a $50,000 winner sold in Texas on Saturday. Interestingly, both tickets got their prizes the same way: they matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. So technically, both Texas tickets “lost by one number.” What a bummer. But still, $100,000 and $50,000 are nothing to sneeze at.

The next Powerball Lottery drawing will take place tonight, Monday, May 13, 2024, just before 10 p.m. The estimated top prize is $47 million for the annualized jackpot and $22 million for the lump sum payout . Tuesday’s Mega Millions will be worth an estimated $363 million in case you were wondering.

Play these and all games of chance responsibly. Most lottery tickets sold are not winners, so spend only what your budget allows you to lose. If you think you have a gambling problem, call and get help. A toll-free helpline, 1-800-GAMBLER, is available at no charge. Good luck.
