Jerome (Jerry) Martin Miller Obituary

Jerome (Jerry) Martin Miller, age 96, of Scottsdale, Arizona, peacefully entered heaven on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Honor Health Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jerry was born June 22, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, the second son of George and Adelaide (Gleason) Miller. Jerry grew up with his brother Richard in the Lakewood Ohio area and graduated from Lakewood High School and John Carroll University. He also served in the US Navy and Army. He retired from Bailey Controls, went on to work at Allen Bradley in Mayfield Heights, Ohio and then worked with members of his family at Handy Rents and Aladdin Rents in Eastlake, Ohio. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Joan (Hertel), parents George and Adelaide Miller, brother Richard Lewis Miller, son-in-law Edward M. Stasenko and granddaughter Jennifer Emerald Ayars. He is survived by his second wife of 20 years, Evelyn of Scottsdale, Arizona; sons Michael Miller (Terrie) of Mentor, Ohio and John (Maria) Miller of Mayfield Heights, Ohio and daughters Carolyn Belohlavek (Jim) of Naples, Florida, Patrica Kovach (Bradford) of Mount Prospect, Illinois, Nancy Ayars of Columbus, Ohio ; Stepchildren Gail Higginbotham, Toby Evans (Bruce), Janie Mizrachi (Michael), Guy Green, Patricia Green, Christopher Green (predeceased), Paul Green, Theresa Green, Joseph Green and Katherine Powers (Chris); Grandchildren Christopher, Patrick (Katie), Amanda Krejci (Keith), Niko, Marissa, Jerry Barbato (Isabelle), John Barbato, Bonnie Cannon (Geoffrey), Daniel, Kevin, Jacqueline and Carmel Latessa; Grandson Jason (Amy) Stasenko, great-grandchildren Theo, Kira, Marcella, Giuliana, Joseph, Reagan, grandchildren Ryan and Benjamin. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd in Concord Township. , Ohio, on May 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by lunch in the church parish hall. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Franciscan University, 1235 University Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio 43952, in lieu of flowers.
